I use an aluminum aviation rated bottle (SWEET) as it is super light, but it is quite spendy compared to the standard Halon/dry powder 2.5lb units required by most track events.

A: It's fabricated from nice thick 6061 aluminum sheet, sheered and drilled and welded for your installing pleasure.
Q: What kind of finish is it supplied in?
A: The mounts are powdercoated matte black for the nice "can you see me now?" disappearing look.
Q: What kind of hardware do I need to install the mount itself?
A: The fire extinguisher mounts to the car using the OEM seat frame bolts so no additional hardware is needed.
Q: What kind of tools do I need to install it in my car?
A: All most of you will need is a credit card to hand to your dealer but the more adventuresome will need a TORX socket to get the bolts out and tightened up again.
Q: How is the Fire Extinguisher unit mounted to the mount?
A: They all come with a mounting bracket. DO buy a fire extinguisher rated for automotive or aviation use as the brackets are stronger and typically have 2 straps holding the fire extinguisher to the mount instead of one like the Home Depot specials. You will need a drill, and a drill bit and some nice machine bolts and nuts.. maybe I could supply that hardware.. I will think about it.
